CryoPen is an effective solution for removing unwanted skin imperfections. CryoPen is a safe cryosurgery procedure that it uses a high-pressured jet of nitrous oxide (N2O) delivered through the CryoPen applicator tip to freeze and destroy benign skin lesions. CryoPen will only treat the lesion and not the healthy surrounding tissue, due to a selection of applicator tips that can be used for different sized lesions to provide within millimetre accuracy. This minimises discomfort (topical anaesthesia is not required) and side effects from treatment.
CryoPen is ideal for treating:
• Cherry angiomas
• Hyperpigmentation (age/liver spots)
• Seborrhoeic Keratosis
• Skin tags
Results from treatment are permanent after 1 or 2 sessions depending on the type of skin lesion.
CryoPen is a very safe and minimally invasive procedure but as with all treatments, there are some minor side effects that can potentially occur. During the treatment you may feel a slight discomfort, which usually lasts for only a few seconds. A common side effect from treatment is mild stinging lasting from minutes to 1 hour. Rarely sores and blisters may form after treatment.
The cost of treatment varies depending on the size and number of lesions. The cost starts from £40 per session.
